This album was made up of a bunch of different things. It was originally going to be an EP named The Great Bear As The Ancients Saw It, which I scrapped one song away from completion. A few of the songs, the ones that arent 10 minutes, came from Petticoat and Almond demos (yes, almond demos are still being reused). The only original composition for this album is the part in Figure 2 -- Rainbow where the song transitions. In fact, that transition has it's own name: Mo(u)rning Bell (After the Radiohead song that it's drums are from). This album isn't something I'm super proud of, but I had to get it out anyways. But I'm happy with how it came out, even if it's not my best work. I will say though, to Anna is one of my best songs.
"Musty with documentation, laden with earnest didacticism, any occasion for private meditation drowned out by the whir and clatter of the audiovisual program."
It's been a little while. Has it been nice for you?
This album is dedicated to Nicolas Collins, John VII, and the city of Basel, Switzerland.
